Let us introduce ourselves...

Lateral drafting was first established in 1994 as a partnership by principal designer Michelle Hall along with her husband Richard, as a home-based business. Both began their careers in drafting when they met at the local TAFE College 10 years prior.

Their experience consists of both domestic and commercial drafting, as well as detail drafting and model making, for which Richard is widely sought after.

In 2001 Michelle moved the business out into an office, employing Tony (Michelle’s father) as a part-time manager to assist in the workload, as word was spreading and contacts were building.

Richard at the same time left his principal place of employment and entered into University to further studies as an architect.

Currently, the business is located in its own building, with its three main staff members and numerous contractors that come and go when work permits.

Each member of the team prides themselves in doing complete and comprehensive work in allotted time frames which we believe is why we have maintained a steadily growing clientele.

We all love what we do and enjoy each others company which has fostered a happy, fun environment where many of our regular clients and contractors love to “pop-in” for a cuppa and a chat about their jobs, which helps to establish clear communication.
